<p>The invention concerns a backlighted display unit (10), in particular for a shop window, comprising an opaque front panel (1) including at least one translucent zone (2), and means for backlighting the front panel. The invention is characterized in that the backlighting means comprise a mirror (4) arranged at the rear of the front panel and oriented so as to reflect an incident external light of specific direction and to reflect same onto the front panel in a direction substantially perpendicular to the front panel. The transparent zone (2) of the front plate forms a logo, a brand name or a particular distinctive sign. The invention provides the advantage of power-free backlighting.</p> |
