Device has two sensor arrangements for measuring the relative positions of the jaws. The sensor arrangements comprise radiation transmitter and receiver, with the received radiation used to determine the varying coordinates of the teeth contact points. Support means (100) for each sensor comprise a brace for attachment to the teeth of the lower or upper jaw and a place holder (120) in which a sensor arrangement is placed. An Independent claim is made for a method for analysis of articulation movements between upper and lower jaw.
