<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery, capable of stably showing excellent performance, especially in the initial capacity of a battery, a cycle property, and safety. <P>SOLUTION: On alkaline solution, carbonate solution, or hydrogencarbonate solution wherein a compound (for example, manganese oxide) of metal (such as Mn, Co, and Ni) becoming a main element of te positive electrode material for the lithium secondary battery is suspended, a solution of salt (for example, cobalt sulfate) of a doping element (such as transition metal, alkaline metal, alkaline earth metal, B, and Ai) is dropped. The compound of the doping element is precipitated and deposited on the main element compound surface to cover that surface, and then, the main element compound having a coat of the doping element and a lithium compound (for example, lithium carbonate) are mixed and burned, thereby manufacturing the positive electrode material for the lithium secondary battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
