<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that although a control valve type lead-acid battery absorbs oxygen generated from a positive electrode in a negative active material for sealing the battery by giving an oxygen absorbing function to the negative active material, since a trickle current is increased, the corrosion of a positive current collector is accelerated, and life performance can not sufficiently be provided. <P>SOLUTION: This control valve type lead-acid battery is constituted by impregnating an electrolyte in an electrode group formed by combining a positive plate formed by retaining a positive active material in a positive current collector made of a lead alloy containing Sn, a negative plate formed by retaining a negative active material in a negative current collector made of a lead alloy, and a separator, and the content of Sn of the positive current collector is limited to 1.1-3.0 mass%, and a pore volume of the negative active material is limited to 0.115-0.15 cm<SP>3</SP>/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
