METHOD OF RECORDING AUDIO DATA, AND METHOD OF DECODING AUDIO DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of copy protection when both of audio data of two channel system and a narrow band system and high quality audio data of multi-channel system and a wide band system are transmitted. SOLUTION: A two channel or multi-channel audio signal A relating to the same audio source is inputted selectively to an A/D converter 1, the inputted signal A is subjected to A/D conversion by using different sampling frequencies and the number of quantization bits, and the converted signal is recorded on a disk. A CGMCAP code for controlling the copy of two channels and a second CGMCAP code for controlling copy of multi-channels are recorded in read-in area of a disk. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
