PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an e-mail arrival control system suitable for a cell phone unit provided with a telephone directory and an e-mail address book function. SOLUTION: This e-mail arrival control system is provided with a memory registering an e-mail address book and a plurality of groups of identifiers, attributes and precedence ranks and a control means detecting coincidence of an e-mail address sent from an exchange at arrival of an e-mail and the e-mail address in the memory, and controlling an e-mail arrival sound, a vibrator, an e-mail arrival LED and e-mail arrival message voice based on the attribute information and precedence rank information of the e-mail address when a coincident e-mail address is detected.
