PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a dispersion liquid for an electrophoresis display device, in which electrophoretic fine particles are dispersed into a solvent in a short period of time and further in the case the obtained dispersion liquid is used for the electrophoretic display device, excellent display response, contrast, and excellent long-term display maintenance, display response and display clearness are realized and further the number of possible rewriting times is increased. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the dispersion liquid for the electrophoretic display device is a method consisting of dispersing the electrophoretic fine particles into the solvent and is characterized by containing a step to disperse the electrophoretic fine particles into the solvent by charging a mixture containing the solvent and the electrophoretic fine particles into an apparatus consisting of a cylindrical vessel equipped with a cylindrical rotator and rotating the cylindrical rotator.
