PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To totally evaluate a road face condition including unevenness ranging over from small unevenness to great unevenness. SOLUTION: A peak value data of a cross-sectional profile is found by moving a prescribed profile meter along the cross-sectional profile with a prescribed interval unit, based on a cross-sectional profile data found about a road face. The road face is divided by a flatness settled distance, the sum of absolute values in the peak value data is found in the every flatness settled distance, and a unit flatness settled distance is found by dividing the flatness settled distance with the number of the peak value data therebetween. A flatness data of a value provided by dividing the sum of absolute values in the peak value data with the unit flatness settled distance is found in the every flatness settled distance. A plurality of kinds of prescribed intervals for evaluating the road flatness is selected to find the flatness data in every prescribed interval value, and the each flatness data is settled in the every flatness settled distance in the plurality of kinds of the respective prescribed intervals.
