PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying apparatus for edging press devices in which the structure of the slab conveying line is simple and which copes with the change of the amount of edging of the edging press easily. SOLUTION: In an edging press line by which the average value in the increment of the thickness of a slab after edging isΔT<SB>mean</SB>, this line is provided with inlet-side lower conveying rollers installed in the lower part of the inlet side of the edging press, an inlet-side upper pressing roller with which the slab is held with the inlet-side lower conveying rollers and pressed by prescribed force from the upper part, the outlet-side lower conveying rollers which are provided in the lower part on the outlet side of the edging press and the height of which is adjustable and an outlet-side upper pressing roller with which the slab is held with the outlet-side lower conveying rollers and pressed by prescribed force from the upper part and the height of the top of the inlet-side lower conveying roller is taken as in the excess height of the conveying face of a rear slab conveying device byΔT<SB>mean</SB>/2.
