PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus enabling the reduction of the using amount of chemicals by recycling unreacted chemicals (slaked lime, aluminum), the reduction of the production amount of sludge and the simultaneous treatment of hydrogen peroxide in the treatment of fluorine-containing wastewater. SOLUTION: In this wastewater treatment apparatus, microbially treated water obtained from a separate system and sludge generated in a sedimentation tank 23 are mixed in a mixing tank 35 and the resulting mixture is introduced into a first recycling tank 1 to be brought into contact with wastewater containing hydrogen peroxide and fluorine to be reacted therewith. By this constitution, unreacted slaked lime in the sludge is again brought into contact with water to be treated and reacted therewith in the first recycling tank 1 to be recycled, and the use amount of chemicals or the printing amount of sludge is reduced. Since hydrogen peroxide contained in wastewater is treated with microbially treated water obtained from the separate system, the cost of chemicals for treating hydrogen peroxide is saved.
