PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed governing lever pivotally supporting device allowing immediate change-over of a speed governing lever from a hand operation mode to a remote operation mode. SOLUTION: A forked oppressing member 5 is mounted between a striker portion 4 provided at one end of a pivotally supporting shaft 2 of the speed governing lever 3 and the speed governing lever 3 and the speed governing lever 3 is put in friction contact with a bracket 1 by the oppression of the oppressing member 5. The oppressing member 5 is formed drawably and removably between the striker portion 4 and the speed governing lever 3, and a drawing and removing operation tool 6 is continuously provided on the oppressing member 5.
