The invention discloses an isolated, biologically pure culture of a microorganism, Bacillus licheniformis, strain SB3086 for use as an environmentally desirable biofungicide. The invention also disclsoes a method for enhancing biofungicidal activity of a microbial agent. The inventional further discloses a nutrient composition comprising a microbial agent and a method for controlling plant fungal diseases and infestation of Aspergillis niger utilizing said strain.
