<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accumulate points by using the cash card of an already existing bank or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A member store terminal is provided with a means for connecting the member store terminal to a point management company device through a communication network, and notifying the point management company device of a purchase sum and magnetic data recorded on a card by using the magnetic data of the card. The point management company device is provided with: a magnetic data file in which the magnetic data recorded on the card are recorded; a point information receiving means for receiving the purchase sum and the magnetic data recorded on the card from the member store; a card specifying and retrieving means for retrieving the received magnetic data from the magnetic data file to specify the noticed card; a point calculating means for calculating and adding points corresponding to the purchase sum to the specified card; and a point information management file in which the points of the specified card are stored and managed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
