<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly accurate control of the tension of a rolled stock without using tension control with loopers. <P>SOLUTION: In this tension controller, the tension of a rolled stock is calculated from any of the output of a tension detector installed between rolling stands, the output of a tension detector attached to a looper device installed between the rolling stands or electric power for driving the loopers, and the tension of the rolled stock is controlled by using the tension of the rolled stock thus calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
