PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid developing electrophotographic device equipped with a carrier removing unit for removing excess carrier liquid from a toner layer formed on an image supporting body, and yielding a high-quality image by removing the carrier liquid without causing irregularity in carrier removal by stably coming into contact with the image supporting body when a metallic roller is used as a carrier removing member. SOLUTION: In the roller being the carrier removing member, its driven rotation side is pressed out more forward than a driving rotation side by a spring with respect to the image supporting member so as to successively abut from the end of the driven rotation side on the end of the driving rotation side. By setting pressuring force exerted on the carrier removing unit to be about twice as large as load when the spring on the driven rotation side of the carrier removing member abutting on the image supporting body first shrinks by the application of load to the carrier removing unit, the carrier removing member abuts on all the surface of the image supporting body.
