PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive capable of improving the accuracy of a stopping angle of a rotor by increasing the resolution of the motor and a recording device provided with motor drive. SOLUTION: The device includes a means for selecting a DAC value during a micro step driving so that the spacing of the directions of composite vectors to be constant. Consequently, since the spacing of the composite vectors of a current during the micro step driving is equal, it is possible to improve the accuracy of the stopping angle of a rotor by increasing the resolution of the motor, and to provide a motor drive and a recording device provided with the motor drive.
