PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating anode X-ray tube with an excellent heat radiation property. SOLUTION: With the rotating anode X-ray tube provided with a positive electrode target 11 fitted inside a vacuum vessel 10, a rotating body 13 mechanically linked with the positive electrode target 11, and a fixed body 16 equipped dynamic pressure sliding bearings Ra, Rb at its insertion-coupling part with the rotating body 13 and equipped with a hollow 17 inside, a protective member 18 is formed with ceramics between a cooling channel formed at a hollow 17 part of the fixed body 16 and a wall face of the hollow 17.
