PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of color drifts of red, green, and blue on a screen due to change in the surrounding magnetic field, in a CRT system projection display device. SOLUTION: With the projection display device of a CRT system displaying images by extending and projecting images displayed on three CRT's of red, green, and blue, and putting them together on the screen, a deflection yoke and a velocity modulation coil 7 are mounted on a neck part 12a of each CRT 12, and a cylindrical magnetic shield 3 is arranged so as to cover a coil part 7a of the velocity modulation coil 7 and a cathode 12b part of the CRT.
