POLYCYCLIC ALIPHATIC POLYESTER POLYOL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING IT, AND POLYURETHANE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycyclic aliphatic polyester polyol, a method for producing it and a polyurethane resin with low impact resilience at around room temperature, improved in solvent resistance and a damping property and the like. SOLUTION: The polycyclic aliphatic polyester polyol comprises a repeating unit derived from a 6-13C polycyclic aliphatic compound and a repeating unit derived from a polyhydric alcohol in which the repeating unit derived from the polycyclic aliphatic compound has at least two carbonyl groups and the carbonyl groups link to respective rings constituting the unit derived from the polycyclic aliphatic compound. The polyurethane resin is produced by bringing the polycyclic aliphatic polyester polyol into contact with a polyisocyanate compound, and if necessary, with an active hydrogen compound.
