PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low power consumption and low cost semiconductor device. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device 50 roughly consists of a semiconductor substrate 1 and an external signal processing substrate 8. The semiconductor substrate 1 has a memory 3, a data driver 4, an element array 2, a scanning circuit 35 and a clock generator 36.
