Determining the genetic predisposition of a subject for development of thrombosis comprises examining at least 2 nucleic acid segments (A) from the genome, followed by multifactorial analysis of the results. (A) can contain allelic polymorphisms whose presence is correlated with an increased risk of thrombosis. Independent claims are also included for: (1) 154 specific oligonucleotides (ON) (all sequences fully defined in the specification); and (2) a set of oligonucleotides (14 pairs listed) for use as primers for amplification of thrombosis-associated polymorphisms.
