Pen for injection of insulin, comprises pump unit, replaceable insulin cartridge covered by cap, and exchangeable needle at leading end with protective needle cap. Amount of insulin to be injected is shown by LED display. The pump unit has speech chip and miniature loudspeaker, triggered by rotating button to give acoustic repeat of the set amount. A pen for the injection of insulin, comprises pump unit, replaceable insulin cartridge (2) covered by cap (3), and exchangeable needle (4) at the leading end with protective needle cap (5). The amount of insulin to be injected is shown by an LED display (11). The pump unit has a speech chip and a miniature loudspeaker (14), triggered by a rotating button (10) to give an acoustic repeat of the set amount. A time chip also gives an acoustic reminder of the injection times.
