<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously obtain a high quality color image free from color shift even in the case where a change in load occurs in a driving means which drives an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A driven state of a photosensitive drum rotated by a motor is managed on a memory 503 as history. At the same time, a single data judgement part 509 compares past history data and present history data in the same rotation position, thereby judging whether there is a transient change in load on the motor which drives the image carrier. Thus, while preventing data about the driven state involved in a temporary load change from being used as subsequent comparison reference data, the single data judgement part 509 replaces former data with the average of the history data stored in the memory 503 as comparison reference data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
