<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a thermal transfer image of an intermediate transfer medium type capable of preventing such abnormal deformations as creases and lines from occurring on an ink sheet during transfer and normally forming images on the intermediate transfer medium and an imaging medium, an apparatus for forming the thermal transfer image, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer part 101 of the apparatus 1 for forming the thermal transfer image forms a dummy image 41 out of a re-transferring region 33 besides formation of a transferred image 35. Namely, not only within the re-transferring region 33 but also out of the re-transferring region 33, transfer processing is performed by transferring the coloring material of an ink sheet 3 on the intermediate transfer medium 5. As adhesive regions 51 are generated between the ink sheet 3 and the intermediate transfer medium 5 not only within the re-transferring region 33 but also out of the re-transferring region 33, it is possible to prevent the abnormal deformations such as creases and lines from occurring on the ink sheet 3 when the coloring material of the ink sheet 3 is transferred on the intermediate transfer medium 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
