PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organo-polysiloxane-coated powder which can achieve dispersiveness and flame retardancy and has an improved handling property and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: This organo-polysiloxane-coated powder consists of nucleus powder coated with an organo-polysiloxane whose average composition formula is R<SB>a</SB>SiO<SB>(4-a)/2</SB>. The average particle size of the coated powder is 1-10 times as large as the average particle size of the nucleus powder. The average particle size of the nucleus powder is 0.01-10μm. This organo-polysiloxane-coated powder is prepared by coating the nucleus powder with a polysiloxane by mixing the polysiloxane and the nucleus powder such that the content of the polysiloxane is 0.1-15 wt.% and kneading it under a pressurizing condition.
