PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of misregistration of the armature to the core. SOLUTION: This is an electromagnetic relay for high voltage and large current that comprises a yoke 46 which is arranged on the outside of a coil bobbin 41 and fixed to a core 45, an armature 56 which is supported by a yoke 46 rotatably and is opposed to a core 45, a movable contact spring 50 of which one end is fixed to the yoke 46 and of which to the free end the armature 56 is fixed, and a movable contact 64 which is fixed to the free end of the movable contact spring 50 and is opposed to fixed contacts 24, 25. A pair of hinge recesses 57, 57 are formed at the front and the rear faces of the armature 56, and a pair of hinge protrusions 48a, 48a that protrude from the yoke 46 are inserted rotatably in the both hinge recesses 57, 57.
