A motor generator capable of freely controlling output characteristics and an electric motor vehicle using the motor generator, the motor generator comprising a rotating shaft (220), a rotor (40) connected to the rotating shaft (220), a stator (31) disposed so as to be opposed to each other on the rotor (40), a stepping motor (60) as an adjusting motor for adjusting the relative position of the rotor (40) to the stator (31) in a rotating axis direction, and a movable member (47) lockingly connected to the rotor (40), converting the rotation of the adjusting motor (60) into the axial displacement of the rotating shaft (220), and moving in the axial direction.
