<p>The invention relates to a method and equipment used to decorate ceramic pieces and to the product thus obtained. More specifically, the invention consists in producing ceramic pieces which are provided with special decorations using a very economical, automatic method from the formation of the biscuit in a press comprising (i) a lower plate with a cavity in which the biscuit-shaping components are disposed and (ii) an upper plate which applies pressure against the aforementioned components in order to form the initial biscuit (1). The upper plate comprises male elements (6) which, when pressed against the biscuit (1) of the lower plate, form notches (5) with a raised peripheral edge (7). Said cracks are then filled with a mixture (15) of grain and dry glue and subsequently the biscuit and filler assembly (15) is placed in an oven so that the mixture solidifies and is integrated into the biscuit, thereby producing the rough ceramic piece (2). Finally, the raised areas of the ceramic piece (2), which correspond to the raised edges (7) of the notches, are honed and, in this way, the ceramic piece is provided with a completely flat decorative surface.</p> |
