<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system that can set an environment enabling use of a new function and can execute, at optimal timing, items handled by an administrator, such as functional checks on devices, collection of frequencies of use and collection of necessary new function information. <P>SOLUTION: Under a first server for managing devices on a network, when a new function is added to a device, the first server detects the new function, downloads functional components of a necessary program from a second server, and sets and installs them in a necessary configuration part of the network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
