<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup capable of recording desired information on the label surface of an optical disk, and an optical disk recorder. <P>SOLUTION: When a user selects one of a region whose center is the recording surface of an optical disk inner layer and the region whose center is an optical disk surface and inputs it from an input means, a control means sets a region to perform focusing servo to a focusing servo mechanism. The focusing servo mechanism executes control so as to make the optical pickup perform focusing in the set region. Thus, the user selects one of the regions whose centers are two different points and makes the optical disk recorder execute the focusing servo. Also, for a recording optical disk for which a special coating which develops a color at the time of being irradiated with a laser beam is applied to the label surface of the optical disk, data are recorded on a recording surface and images are formed on the label surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
