<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply regulate a white balance at a suitable distance in each electronic scope. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic field generating element M is provided near a distal end 11e of an inserting section 11 of the electronic scope. A first sensor S1 of a magnetic sensing element is embedded in a bottom 41a of an auxiliary implement body 41 for regulating the white balance in which a cylindrical inside is coated with a white color. A second sensor S2 of a magnetic sensing element is embedded in an inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical unit 41B having an inlet 41b of the body 41 for regulating the white balance. The insertion of the inserting section 11 of the scope into the body 41 is sensed by sensing a magnetic field formed by the element M by the second sensor S2. A distance between the distal end 11e of the section 11 and the bottom 41a is detected by sensing the intensity of the magnetic field formed by the element M by the first sensor.
