<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an amorphous bone filler material which shows an excellent affinity for a living tissue, is filled and formed in a large area in an arbitrary shape, and has the property to be absorbed in a living organism by the passage of time and substituted by autologous bone. <P>SOLUTION: This bone filler material is obtained by compounding porous granular bodies of a calcium phosphate compound, powedery bodies of a biodegradable and absorbable substance, a thickener, and a phosphate cement. The amorphous bone filler material contains 20≤pts.wt.≤90 of the porous granular bodies of the calcium phosphate compound per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the porous granular bodies of the calcium phosphate compound and the powdery bodies of the biodegradable and absorbable substance as the remaining part. The bone filler material contains 0.01≤pts.wt.≤5 of the thickener and 5≤pts.wt≤50 of the phosphate cement per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the porous granular bodies of the calcium phosphate compound and the powdery bodies of the biodegradable and absorbable substance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
