MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING IMAGE FOR THE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden imposed upon an operator of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus when observing images by making a gradation setting time shorter when displaying MRI image data.

SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus which obtains a plurality of MRI images from a prescribed portion of a subject by using various types of photographing methods has an image data storing circuit 29 which stores image data generated by reconstituting images and the photographing methods of the incidental information on the image data, a gradation table storing circuit 31 in which desired gradation parameters for a plurality of photographing methods are prestored, and a gradation setting circuit 32 which sets the gradation of the image date stored in the image data storing circuit 29 based on the gradation parameters corresponding to the photographing methods stored in the gradation table storing circuit 31 by reading out the image data and photographing methods stored in the image data storing circuit 29. The MRI apparatus also has a display section 21 which displays an image in which gradation is set.
