<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which high quality imaging is carried out at a low cost by correcting shift of a plurality of light beams in the main scanning direction easily and surely when a toner image is formed by simultaneously moving the plurality of light beams for scanning. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises an image carrier 1 for carrying a toner image while being held rotatably, a light beam scanning means 2 for forming an electrostatic latent image by scanning the image carrier 1 simultaneously with a plurality of light beams, a developing means 3 for forming a toner image by supplying toner to the electrostatic latent image formed by the light beam scanning means 2, a transfer means 4 for transferring the toner image formed by the developing means 3 to a body (P) being transferred, a plurality of patterns 5 formed by the light beam scanning means 2, and a light start timing adjusting means 6 for adjusting one or the other lighting start timing of the plurality of light beams using the image density of each of the plurality of patterns 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
