<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized gas generator for an assistant driver's seat airbag capable of supplying gas to the airbag when requiring the highest reaction for the restraint of an occupant to be protected. <P>SOLUTION: This gas generator contains 1, 2 or 3 selected from the following requirements (a), (b), and (c), including a housing having a gas exhaust hole, an ignition means, and a gas generating agent molded body which is ignited by the ignition means to burn and generate combustion gas: (a) the internal volume of the gas generator is 200 to 400 cm<SP>3</SP>, (b) a ratio L/D of an axial length L of the gas generator to a diameter D is 0.6 to 1.5., and (c) the gas generation amount of the gas generating agent molded body is 1.5 to 4.5 mol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
