DEVICE FOR NOTCHING BACK OF MIDDLE BOOK FORMED OF PRESSURE-BONDED PRINTING PAPERS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for notching the back of a middle book formed from pressure-bonded printing papers capable of improving both of the bonding of an adhesive to the back part of the middle book and binding quality.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for notching the middle book back part (1) formed from pressure-bonded printing papers is rotated around the rotary shaft (6) vertical to the middle book back part (1) and a notching tool equipped with the cutting blade (5) bitten in the middle book back part (1) in order to form an arcuate notch when the middle book (2) passes on the feed passage of the adhesive binding apparatus. This cutting blade is attached so as to protrude to the end surface of the support member (3) of a notching tool. The support member (3) of the notching tool has at least two cutting blades (5) mutually opposed through the rotary shaft (6) and these blades are arranged so as to have a sharp angle with respect to a cut circular surface.
