PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optimum exposure level based on comparison between the exposure level in a state that a light source emits light on a previous occasion and the exposure level in a state that the light source does not emit light.
SOLUTION: A cellular phone PH with a camera has a strobe 10 comprising LEDs 15 to 17 of which light emission quantities are determined as auxiliary light sources used for taking photographs of an object 44 by the camera 9. In a photographing mode, the determination of the light emission quantity is repeatedly executed based on a difference between an exposure integration value 31 of an image signal output from the camera 9 with the light emission quantity determined on the previous occasion, and the exposure integration value 31 in a state when the light emission is turned off, till the exposure integration value 31 matches the optimum exposure value. Therefore, in the photographing mode, as two reference values are used for matching the exposure integration value 31 with the optimum exposure integration value so as to determine the light emission quantity, the determination is precisely performed. As a result, the optimum exposure level can be obtained with high precision.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
