PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold and method for molding which can faithfully transfer a reflection preventive structure onto an optical article to be molded and can mold an optical article having excellent reflection preventive effect. SOLUTION: A mother original form 12 is used as a mold. The mother matrix 12 has a second transfer reflection preventive structure 22 transferred from a stamper 11 having a first transfer reflection preventive structure 21 transferred from an original form 10, on which a reflection preventive structure 20 comprising fine irregularities with repeating pitches and height being less than the wavelength of visible light, is directly provided.
