PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer-built battery capable of joining a plurality of electrode leads superimposed each other to an electrode terminal with large fixing strength, and equalizing a electric resistance value in both sides in a superimposing direction. SOLUTION: When a plurality of positive and negative electrode plates 11A, 11B laminated on a generating element 11 is connected to positive and negative electrode terminals 14, 15 through a plurality of positive and negative electrode leads 11D, 11E, the positive and negative electrode leads 11D, 11E are superimposed each other and inserted in penetrating portions 14a, 15a provided on the positive and negative electrode terminals 14, 15. By joining the positive and negative electrode terminals 14, 15 at base end portion sides 11Da, 11Ea rather than the penetrating portions 14a, 15b and joining the positive and negative electrode terminals 14, 15 at tip end portion sides 11Db, 11Eb inserted in the penetrating portions 14a, 15a, the superimposed positive and negative leads 11D, 11E can be joined to the positive and negative electrode terminals 14, 15 on both sides in a superimposing direction.
