PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a spherical inorganic ultra-fine powder having an average particle size of 0.01-3μm. SOLUTION: The ultra-fine powder having the average particle size of 0.01-3μm is manufactured by spraying and spheridizing a slurry containing an inorganic raw material powder on a high-temperature flame. Here, the slurry comprises the inorganic raw material powder having an average primary particle size of≤5μm and methanol with a moisture content of≤1 mass%, and has a liquid specific gravity of≤1.35 kg/L. The slurry is sprayed as droplets with an average size of 1-15μm containing≤5 mass% droplets of≥50μm large. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
