PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device and a driving method in which falling/rising timing of a sampling pulse is not made agree with the rising/falling timing of other sampling pulses and the sampling pulses are generated so as to provide a sufficient sampling time for data signals and to provide a display device having the driving device. SOLUTION: Shift registers SR1to SR2noutput shift pulses only for one respective logic circuit 21 consisting of an OR circuit. Shift signals generated by the shift register SR1and a shift register SR2which is linked to the shift register SR1are outputted to the circuit 21. The circuit 21 generates sampling pulses based on the shift signals outputted from the shift regisiters SR1and SR2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
