PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of effectively identifying a particular mark at image reading. SOLUTION: In the image processor, a mark detection means sequentially scans input image data to detect the particular mark, and an interval calculation means calculates an interval between the particular mark detected this time and the particular mark early detected. An discrimination means discriminates the particular mark to be an effective mark when the interval calculated by the interval calculation means is a specified interval (a designated interval or a natural number of multiple of the designated interval), and discriminates the particular mark to be an ineffective mark when not, and a count means counts the number of effective marks discriminated by the discrimination means.
