PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a composite metal and a manufacturing method of a composite material of a composite metal-ceramic in which large-sized and expensive facilities are not needed and these metal and composite material can be manufactured in a near net shape and the occurrence of visually observable pores can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The composite metal is manufactured by making molten metal permeate into the compact body of at least one kind of a metallic powder or a calcined body which is fabricated by calcining the compact body, in a nitrogen atmosphere containing vaporized magnesium and non-pressurization state. The composite material of composite metal-ceramics is manufactured by making molten metal permeate into a compact body which is manufactured by adding ceramic powder to at least one kind of metallic powder and mixing them, then compacting them, or a calcined body which is fabricated by calcining the compact body, in a nitrogen atmosphere containing vaporized magnesium and non-pressurization state.
