Suction plant, especially for dental use, has at least one suction unit (10) that acts on a working line (12), to which operating stations can be connected via a station selection valve (14). To limit the vacuum pressure of the working line a multiplicity of controllable auxiliary air valves (26-1, 26-2) are provided. The air valves are controlled by a control circuit (20), dependent on the output signal of a pressure sensor (24) that is connected to the working line.
