PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of simplifying the setting operation of an LUT in a programmable logic circuit into which data conversion processing in an LUT format is integrated and a method for setting the LUT. SOLUTION: This image processor 1 is provided with a programmable logic circuit 2, a control part 3, and a storage part 4. The control part 3 is provided with a function for reading out programming data including initialized LUT data and desired LUT data to be set from the storage part 4, and for working the LUT data to be set into a programming data format at the time of downloading the programming data, and for writing the LUT data in the programmable logic circuit 2 instead of the initialized LUT data. Thus, it is not necessary to execute the rewriting operation of the LUT data after the programmable logic circuit 2 is started, and to simplify the operation, and to shorten the rising time of the image processor 1.
