<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive flange packing capable of bringing an effective sealing property even under a high pressure or partial pressure condition. <P>SOLUTION: The flange packing is provided with a simple structure at low costs, in which a circular metallic member 9 is built in to a circular rubber packing body having seal surfaces at both sides along a circular shape of the packing body 8 and a metal ring 12 is fit on an outer periphery of the packing body 8. Based on actions for controlling deformation of a rubber member caused by the circular metallic member 9 and the metal ring 12 in the flange packing, a rubber member of the packing body 8 is prevented from sticking out or splitting off between the seal surfaces of flanges 2 and 5 even though they are used under conditions with high pressure fluid and partial pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
