PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method with which the deterioration in images by transfer is prevented and the images of high image quality can be formed in a transfer step in which the deterioration of the images is liable to occur in forming the images by an electrophotographic system. SOLUTION: The image forming method has a developing step of developing the electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor by dry type toner, then a primary fixing step of transferring and simultaneously fixing the formed toner image to transfer paper by pressure alone, and further a secondary fixing step of fixing the primarily fixed toner image on the transfer paper by passing the transfer paper with the toner image on it through a heating, pressurizing, and fixing device having a fixing roller. The nonmagnetic toner of≥1x10<SP>9</SP>(Ωcm) in volume resistivity and 3.0 to 10.0μm in weight average grain size is used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
