PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impulse type power supply interruption apparatus for a railroad vehicle capable of preventing fire or burnout of the vehicle or electric shock, by automatically generating a perfect grounded state at a point closer to a power source from a pantograph at collision of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The impulse type power supply interruption apparatus for a railroad vehicle comprises a pantograph 2 for feeding from a power supply line 1, an impulse type grounding apparatus 10 by which an electrical path is grounded by the impact at collision of a vehicle 3, and a controller 5 which is connected to the impulse type grounding apparatus 10 and arranged under the vehicle 3 through a cable bath line 4.
