PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast communication system by which all mobile stations with a mobile station monitoring a control channel of base station communication and a mobile station monitoring a control channel of direct communication between mobile stations can receive broadcast communication transmitted from a control office via a base station. SOLUTION: Before the control office performs the broadcast communication, the base station transmits a control channel switching control signal by using the control channel of the direct communication between the mobile stations, the mobile station monitoring the control channel of the direct communication between the mobile stations having a means for receiving the signal receives the control channel switching control signal and automatically switches the monitored control channel to the control channel of the base station communication.
