METHOD FOR DETECTING ERROR OF COMMUNICATION DATA, COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify and detect a random error caused in a bit unit and a burst error caused in a whole data packet unit in communication data, and to perform appropriate handling in response to the type of the error. SOLUTION: Communication equipment 1 transmits plural pieces of test communication data different in packet lengths of data packets (S12). Communication equipment 2 detects a packet loss rate in received test communication data (S22). Coefficients in respective degrees in a polynomial in n-th degree packet length L are obtained by the n-th degree polynomial approximation by using the detected packet loss rate, and PBand PRare calculated based on a prescribed relational formula of the coefficients and occurrence rates PBand PRof the burst error and the random error (S23). Signal strength and preamble length being modulation parameters of communication data are changed in response to the calculated values of PBand PR(S24 to 31 and S13 to S15). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
